Calliandra surinamensis

It has been a while since I wrote about the garden or issues related to gardening.

The interest, curiosity, research, reading is still here, but the desire to share is not as intense as it was.

I am more into enjoying by myself and other  flora/fauna....the biocentric way.

Here is Calliandra surinamensis, collected during my walks over a year ago from seed.  It grows to about 20 feet in my urban context...with a nice fan shape....not difficult to maintain....Best of all not a common place, abused bush...great for pollinators and fauna in general.
